Dodgeball

It can be argued that the most exhilarating battles between today’scompanies happen on the dodgeball courts. As the brave dip, dive, duck, and dodge, only the fiercest warriors emerge as the victors of this CCV tournament. Last year SFU Beedie School of Business faced an uphill battle to meet Electronic Arts in the backdoor double elmination finals. After two decisive wins, SFU Beedie was able to knock down the EA superstars to claim the 2011 CCV Dodgeball Title. Will SFU be able to defend its hard-earned title in 2012? Join in on the fun to determine the fate of the 2012 champions!

1. Matches are played six-on-six.

2. A match consists of four games. A game is completed when everyone on the opposing team is eliminated.

3. The tournament is set up for round robin pool play where teams play each opponent in their pool twice.

4. Teams are seeded after round robin based on number of games won. All teams advance to playoffs.

5. In playoffs, a double elimination bracket with a back-door will be used. Teams must lose two games to get knocked out.

1. Rules are based on National Amateur Dodgeball Association rules modified for Corporate Champions Vancouver.

2. There must be at least two members of the opposite sex on the court at all times, such that the gender ratio is either 2:4 or 3:3.

1. Please wear appropriate footwear.

2. Dodgeballs will be provided. The official ball used will be an 8.25″ rubber-coated foam ball.
